About The Tulane Total Health Clinic

at the Ruth U. Fertel Tulane Community Health Center

Our Mission

At Tulane’s Total Health Clinic, we take pride in providing a medical home for individuals seeking a wide spectrum of sexual health support services and resources. Our holistic approach to sexual health focuses on education and expanding access to STI testing and preventive services for our entire community, including PrEP and gender-affirming care, and empowering people on their journey. As a Ryan White Clinic, we also provide comprehensive care for people living with HIV/ AIDS.

About the Clinic

The Tulane Total Health Clinic opened in March 2011 as the Tulane T-Cell Clinic. It was open just two half days per week and had one physician, an administrator, and a medical assistant. Over the years we have grown and now provide more comprehensive services including PrEP, gender-affirming care and STI testing and treatment. Our staff now includes five physicians, a clinical psychologist, an administrator, a medical case manager, a non-medical case manager, data manager, three medical assistants, and a health models coordinator.

We are located at the Ruth U. Fertel Community Clinic at 711 N. Broad Street in Mid-City. If you would like to come see us, schedule an appointment or find out more about us, you can call us at (504) 988-3002.

Need help paying for your visit or medication?

Tulane Total Health is here to help. Our clinic participates in multiple federal grant programs in order to meet the sexual health care needs of all community members, regardless of a person’s income or insurance status. These programs, including the Ryan White CARE Act, 340B and ADAP, allow us to care for HIV positive individuals at little or no cost to the patient. Bilingual support staff are available to answer any questions and to help our patients navigate their options. Please call the clinic at (504) 988-3002 or contact us at the form below.
